Chianti Classico ruby red with violet hues. Hints of blackberry and iris alternate with fresh balsamic aromas and pungent hints of cinnamon. On the palate, there is a balance between the hardness of the Sangiovese and the softness of the Merlot, and a full-bodied, round structure with a long finish.
Ideal with red meats, game and mature cheeses.
Recommended serving temperature: 16/18 °C
For the Chianti Classico Monaciano label we have chosen an illustration by the German artist Ernst Barth, who loves Tuscany, and has photographed and portrayed it on many occasions.
For the Chianti Classico label he has chosen to show the estate as it appears to the visitor from the hillside of Castello di Monteliscai. A golden road crosses the vineyards and connects the Villa and the farmhouses, while in the background stands the Torre del Mangia, symbolizing the proximity - physical and otherwise - to the city of Siena.
