The large farmhouse features a tower and is flanked by massive retaining walls, all of which have been restored with careful attention to architectural detail and original building materials. The two-storey farmhouse has several bedrooms, a spacious living room with fireplace, two full kitchens (one on each floor), and a grand terrace furnished with outdoor table and chairs, large enough for outdoor lunching or dining, set in an ideal position from which to enjoy the sweeping views. Separately, a comfortable and elegant apartment has been newly created from a one-time carriage house with characteristic lofty arches. Each apartment has two bathrooms, TV, dishwasher, and washing machine. Outside is a spacious area equipped for children’s games, ping-pong, and volleyball. Each apartment has its own outdoor table and chairs, with portable barbecues available. Guests at Montalbano can enjoy the 7 X 15 mt. swimming pool of the nearby Poggio and Poggino farmhouses.
