Tomorrow there will be a wedding held here at the Villa of Monaciano for a family from Siena so everyone is quite busy preparing. Hopefully, with their permission, I will have some new photos to put online to show how magnificent it is having a wedding here.
We have also uploaded a video of the gardens of the Villa of Monaciano tio give an idea of the perfect setting for a wedding or other event.
We have just uploaded a video of our farmhouses here at Monaciano to give you an idea of what we can offer for your stay. Have a look!
During the Spring and Summer, our comune (Castelnuovo Berardenga) organizes visits to Viullas, gardens, wineries and more. You can read all about it here. http://www.domenicainchianti.it/eng/
Today it is our turn. For those who reserved with the comune, a bus brings them here to Monaciano to visit our gardens. It is a wonderful way to see the area and learn about it and its history.
You are probably wondering why we are posting these egg based recipes at the begining of the blog. We here at the agriturismo are fortunate because we have an abundance of organic products like vegetables and eggs.
Here are our helpers:
And don’t forget the big daddy . .our very own real Gallo Nero

Would love to get some feedback from all of you reading the agriturismo of Monaciano’s blog and website. I am putting together our new booklet for our guests and was wondering what information you wished was included in our old booklet. Comment below and let us know.
What the heck happened with the weather? Two days ago, beautiful sunny days here at the agriturismo of Monaciano, hot as all get out and then yesterday, boom, changes. Temps dropped from 34°C to 15°C. That is a huge drop. Dino, our gardener (interview with him coming soon) is all upset as this is not good for wheat and veggies. With wheat, if it rains, the wheat kernals break off as well as wild grass grows in the middle of all of the wheat which makes it not able to be used so they have to remove all of the grass. Lots of work. But next week the weather should be better. Good thing as starting the week after we hit our high season and are very busy (still some apartments left but not many so hurry to get a spot!).
Wow, the Siena area is just having spectacular weather. Sunny and hot but not humid so very doable.
This is the view of the family vegetable garden here at the Agriturismo from the window of our reception office.
